Extra credit opportunity Earn 3 points by attending the Winter 101 presentation today at 4:00 in the Trimbelle Room in the UC and by completing the tasks. ESL 301 Beyond the Reading Unit 4 Analyzing Information - Critical thinking involves thinking carefully about important topics that the writer has not completely explained.  Critical Thinking In Reading 4 you read that two respected publications, The World Malaria Report (WMR) and The Lancet, the British medical journal, have given very different estimates of the number of deaths worldwide from malaria in 2010. The Lancet estimate is almost twice as high as the WMR estimate. With a partner, group, or alone, make a list of factors that might explain why the two publications came to different conclusions.
